Movie Night is still a GO!!!

Thankfully the weather is holding out! So come on down and enjoy the movie!
Still playing the Sandlot! Still gonna toss around the ball before the movie starts, so if you got a glove and a ball bring it on down.
See you all tonight!

Movie Nights held at the Whitaker Theatre at the Pool Pavilion

Ok so I'm detailed, but here is a map of where the Movie Nights will be held.
Right inside of the Red Square.
The official name is The Whitaker Theatre at the Pool Pavilion.
It's next to the tennis courts.

NEXT MOVIE -JULY 22nd- The Sandlot --AGAIN!!!!

That's right, AGAIN!!! Last time we had a rain out, but 60 of you folks stayed and we hunkered down under the pool pavilion.

So we are doing it again! I can't tell you how many people I talked too who were bummed out about missing this one.

So July 22nd is your last chance this summer to catch this gem.

Bring your Glove and Ball and maybe a Bat a little early before the movie and we'll have some fun. If we get enough folks we can play a quick game.
See you at the movie.

A word about Superheroes...

Well I'm glad you all had fun this weekend. I hope your kids like thier comics and those that won a prize I hope they haven't broken them yet!
But all in all a good time was had and The Batman/ Superman Movie was a pretty good flick.
I actually want to write about Hawkman here, cause my brain is on Superheroes for the moment. Now look at this guy....
I give him credit for being able to fly and having the abilities of a ...uh..hawk...but seriously what was the disconnect when he put together this costume. "Let's see, I have the powers of hawk and a long knife. I think the best color scheme for these would be Green, Yellow and Red and I think this yellow stripe up the boot would be a terrifying effect." And then he gets out the paper mache and gets to work on his hat, " I'm Hawkman, dag nabbit, how can I let people know I'm a Hawk-Human hybrid, cause these wings don't scream it enough."
Now I'm no scientist but I cant imagine flying with no shirt on is a good way to stay warm in the winter. Unless, unlike a Hawk, instead of employing deadly talons' (he does have the knife) he jabs ne'er do wells in the eye with razor sharp nipples?
AND...and!! Being resuced by him must be like getting dropped off at prom in a Gremlin, get dropped off around the corner so no one knows and pretend it never happend.
"Sir, sir! I see you are trapped in this burning building , let me assist you with my hawk like grabbing and holding powers." I, of course ,would take one look at him and say "No- you know what, I'm good.", "But,sir your life is in peril! I must....", "I'M GOOD! I think I'll just wait here for the Flash or something. And don't crap on my car on the way out! Don't think I don't know that was you!"
The point I am trying to make is this: If you are going to be a superhero, don't attend Hawkmans' class on design at the learning annex. And if you are blessed with the powers of a hawk-FOR THE LOVE OF MIKE PUT ON A SHIRT!
Ah I'm just jealous......
